JACOB GUYTON
MUSIC COMPOSER
Jacob Guyton (Classified Alias), is a producer and musician from Birmingham, Alabama. Born into a musical family, becoming a musician was almost a rite of passage. One of his earliest memories
is sitting with his dad and listening to records, as he explained what they were about, while his mom sang along to them. Jacob was heavily in church; singing in the choir, and playing for Christmas and Easter programs, is where he quickly discovered a love for music. Learning piano and trumpet as a child and diving into playing gospel and jazz at an early age, built a solid foundation for what he does today. Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame inductee, Dr. Frank E. Adams was his first teacher and had a major impact on how he creates and listens to music. After discovering what a producer was, he was fully immersed in that world. He went on to earn a marketing degree and MBA from the University of Montevallo, while playing in the university's Jazz and Wind Ensembles. From all of his experiences, blending sounds and styles from multiple genres, experimentally is how he describes his sound.
Jacob has built a solid track record by creating networks of artists, producers, and other creators, mining and sharing information. By continuing to find innovative ways to create and sharing his creative process, he continues to achieve remarkable results
